mf doom is awesome. there is no debate. and while i haven’t listened to the newest record, it doesn’t matter. anybody that puts out quality like king geedorah, viktor vaughn, and madvillain in a one-year period gets respect. (oh, and this, which is one of my favorite songs ever). the wordplay is absurd, the beats are filthy, it’s just awesome. there’s no real reason for this post besides stating facts, and also putting up this article on doom from the nyer that is behind their paywall, but which i share with you because you are great. the article is written by one of my favorite writers/bloggers, ta-nehisi coates, who blogs at the atlantic and has written excellent articles on michelle obama, bill cosby, and police brutality. you should absolutely subscribe/bookmark his blog.
