Here’s a track that further proves why Macklemore isn’t just one of the best rappers in Seattle but undeniably one of the most honest. The cut is called “Otherside” and it’s a powerful five minute tune about the destructive nature of drugs within hip-hop culture. Macklemore has been more honest than most rappers would be about his own issues with addiction and this tune not only helps further that honesty as he raps about himself, but the Red Hot Chili Pepper/Bun B samples help cast a light on how drugs can ruin lives in music culture as well. The song will be coming out on the VS EP that Mack and producer Ryan Lewis are releasing Nov. 27. Hell, the subsequent release party that evening already looks like the best hip-hop show of November with an all ages performance and then a 21+ show jam packed with local talent.
