you need to become familiar with the hypnotic brass ensemble if you are not already (requisite new yorker profile here). they’ve been doing yeoman’s work making reliably awesome songs and albums for many years, always threatening to blow up in the mainstream, but never quite going off. for the upcoming ep the heritage on dublin-based choicecuts, HBE have done a cover/re-interpretation of the outkast classic “spottieottiedopalicious” that will hopefully put them on the radar of more people who should be giving them their due. stream it below, download it here, and learn more about the heritage ep here.

2. I used to watch this band perform on the streets of Chicago all the time. Back when they used to just go by Hypnotic. Humble dudes. They literally walked the streets playing for change. Hard work usually pays off. Thanks for posting this one.
