It’s rapidly becoming Das Racist week here on Last Night’s Mixtape. And that’s okay. Today’s the day Sit Down, Man, the Das Racist x Mad Decent x Mishka massive mixtape comes out. We’ve been looking forward to today for a long while, and now that it’s here, we’re not about to look this gift horse squarely in the mouth. Or something.
Point is: Sit Down, Man kills, pulling together some of our favorite producers, including big names like Boi-1Da and Diplo, as well as some of our favorite up-and-comers (and people) Sabzi, Gordon Voidwell, and Kassa Overall. The end result is a classic DR creation, mixing Paul Bunyan-esque leaps of mental connection with well-placed guest spots from the stable of highly-appreciated heavy hitters like El-P and Roc Marciano.
Basically, having DR and Mad Decent come together to create something is a big win in my book. Looking forward to hearing much more of this, methinks. Also, SEE YOU ON OCTOBER 1ST.
