If you’re a fan of digging for records like I am, then you’ll love this video. And if you’re a true blue vinyl collector and are far more advanced in the methods of digging than I am, then you might just cream yourself. One of my favorite radio personalities and DJs, Gilles Peterson, recently took a trip to Havana, Cuba to go looking for some of that island’s newest generation of music stars. Non-American DJs can do that very easily. Hint hint Obama — drop the travel embargo! Anyway, he naturally stumbled upon an old record store and hit paydirt. Check out the video below. And know that Gilles is dropping a new album, Havana Cultura Remixed, on June 7th on his own Brownswood Recording imprint. It’s a two disc album featuring remixes from Louie Vega, Carl Cox, Seiji, some of the 4Hero family, and lot’s more. And this is the dusty record shop where much of it began. For the love of music, drop the embargo!

I know your neck must still be hurting from that WD4D mixclusive Toast dropped on you yesterday, but I just found this BTS Radio mix and had to share.  This time it’s a selector set by London’s own Dego, who, according to BTS, is pretty much the fucking man:

A founding member of 4Hero, Dego is a true original and living legend. A chameleon with it comes to production, Dego has taken hand in influencing and spearheading new styles and movements ranging from Jungle, Drum & Bass, Broken Beat, Hip-Hop and Soul. With aliases and projects like Tek 9, Jacob’s Optical Stairway, DKD and Silhouette Brown among countless others, he’s solidified his place as a master of music.

I’m warning you now, don’t hurt yourself!  Nod your head at your own risk.
