It has officially been many many minutes since DJ Shadow last reared his head. He’s got an album coming out, and the lead single is a collaboration with Nigeria/London emcee Afrikan Boy. It’s an interesting mix of sounds – a whole bunch of steps closer to grime than Shadow’s oeuvre – and accompanying visual aesthetics. Definitely makes me curious about how the rest of the album will be sounding.
