krystal klear put together one of the better boogie-ish mixtapes i’ve heard in a while for FACT mag. a lot of choice selections from samson & deliliah and giorgio moroder to daft punk to newer-comers like krystal klear himself, LxNxM fave sebastiAn, tensnake, and tiger & woods. stream/download below and check the tracklist after the jump.

the song above will definitely get stuck in your head. in a good way. it’s a remix of the deerhunter track “helicopter” by diplo and lunice. we all know about diplo, but what about lunice? well, other than having the least headache/seizure-inducing myspace page i’ve ever seen, i can tell you he’s a dj/producer/beatmaker from montreal with some music coming out through the luckyme label (which i previously had only known as a website to find mixtapes). someone to watch in any event. grab the “helicopter” remix here and start streaming lunice’s FACT mix below (per FACT: “slowly builds from UK territory to an onslaught of hip-hop, accumulating in a live blend of Cassie’s ‘Me & U’ with a Krystal Klear instrumental that’d move men to tears”), then head over to the FACT site for the tracklist and download link.

FACT mix 189 – lunice

i’m pretty sure i’m obligated to post this one. luckily it’s very much worth your time, as mike simonetti comes correct with an all-vinyl (ooooh, fancy!), single-take (show-off!) mix that he did for FACT magazine while his son was taking a nap (awwww!). no tracklist of course, which i think is kind of obnoxious. i would like to know what these tracks are, and i’m pretty sure the artists who made these jams want me to know as well. i’ll take what i can get though, and you should get it to, by clicking here. oh, and just skip on to the 7:00 minute mark, unless you’re a big fan of whooshing wind sounds.

Hailing from West London, and the One Handed Music squad along with Paul White, Nathan “Bullion” Jenkins sneaks mushrooms into your hip hop dance party and shames you off the decks. Apparently this beat savant piqued many an ear with a mix called Pet Sounds: in the Key of Dee, a remix project that remixed The Beach Boys in the style of the late and beloved Dilla. This was followed by the well received Young Heartache EP.

Now Bullion packs more flava for ya ear with the new single “Say Goodbye to What” along with a free mix composed in cahoots with the freshcheckers at FACT magazine. The single and mix are a gumbo of Krautrock, afro-funk, avant-garde electronics and dreamy 70s rock. For god’s sakes have the friends over for a potluck and dance already… Download the Bullion FACT magazine mix
