Let us pause and reflect on the power of eyes. As Immanuel Kant (may have) allegedly said, eyes are windows to the soul. Given that, it’s probably not too surprising that a video featuring some intense eye-crossing and the best eyebrows since Frida Kahlo makes an immediate impression.

The song – the Diplo/Dillon Francis/Maluca bangaranger “Que Que” – has been floating around for some time, but the recently-released video definitely gives it an exclamation point that makes it stand out from the rest of the moombahton/whatever bangers on these webs.

After watching, all I can say is that somebody had way too much fun making that video.

I’m gonna be real with you, people.  I’ve been having a hard time finding blog-worthy material this week.  There’s not really that much new stuff out there that I’ve found worthy of your fine musical palates.  So, I have decided to post a couple of videos for some not-so-new songs.

The first video is for Maluca’s El Tigeraso.  Although the song was  released by Mad Decent back in August, the video just dropped a few days ago.  I would best describe the style of this tune as “digital speed merengue,” to quote the Fader blog post where I found this.  The message of the song:  Step off, papi.

I’m diggin the beer can curlers.

This next video comes to us from Duck Sauce (A-Trak and Armand Van Helden).  The song, Anyway, has also been out for a lil bit now, but it’s still as catchy as the first time I heard it.  In fact, this song is catchy as a motherfucker.  It’s very Daft Punk-ish.  It kinda makes me feel like I’m in a European discotheque having the time of my life, instead of in my dark room staring at a computer screen (not as sad as it sounds).
